scam artist

Been trying to sell my daughter's jr and had guy by the name Kenny Smith inquire about buying. He stated price good and next thing you know was sending a check for the jr and extra for shipping. sound familar. no check and he had the nerve to email me asking why i had not notified him that his check had come. never heard from him again. his email is kennysmithh@live.com. be aware.

 

I think you're overstating the situation a little, aren't ya? Not really a scam...maybe he's a flake but you're not out anything.

 

Well, you kinda / sorta are out something if you are telling people sorry, its already sold and you sit around waiting a week or two when you find out your"buyer" bailed out on you! then you wish you had gotten the contact info on the ones you said "sorry"!

 

A scam is a scam regardless whether the scam is successful.

 

Well, if you're telling potential buyers that something is sold before you have a single piece of payment from said buyer, then you deserve to be "scammed" as you call it.

Being inconvenienced is not the same as a scam.

 

Your instinct on this guy being a scam is correct! He tried to pull the same thing with my daughters car we had listed for sale on racing junk his reply to my being weary of him was:
"Since it's all seems like scam to you. i advice that you play safe and stop transacting with me, i wish you good luck in selling your car, bye and thanks for your message so far.

Had the same thing to, and tried to beat us up on the price saying since he was so far away I should help pay shipping,as it wasnt in his budget stopped there.but its nice to know 99% of the people here are honest and look out for each other
