The NHRA has announced new penalties will be levied against Mother Nature anytime she schedules rain to occur during a Powerade Professional session either qualifying or competition. The NHRA spokesman did say the rain will be allowed during any and all sportsmen sessions at any event. The NHRA says this is simply a continuation of their current drive to improve the fan expereince at Powerade events.

I remember back in the early 60's. Reading in one of the hot rod mags., That some day there would be a track that was completely covered from the staging area to the shutdown area, Including the fan stands, With a transparent top to let the sun shine in if it was out, and lites for when it wasn't, Maybe its time NHRA spent some of its nonprofit money on a project like this, A big dome from fan stand to fan stand & start to shutdown. The racers already spent there money to keep out of the sun between rounds,
At E-Town they could have boat races between oil downs put up on the big screen so the fans can see them without leaving there seats. ESPN could have two crews one for the boats one for the cars. telacast live, Just Saying, Gene Terenzio Crazy aye? ;);):D

Well.... they do. It's obvious that it is the racers fault. There was a racetrack built and a race scheduled right? Well, that would not have happened if we did not decide to come to the track ...right? Well, we would not have came to the track if we had not built racecars... right? And.. it was our CHOICE to build a racecar so it's obviously OUR fault. So, from this point, anytime there is a weather delay during YOUR scheduled time session, YOU will be fined $100 for every minute that a car cannot go down the track. AND... if YOUR weather delay extends into ANOTHER scheduled session, YOU will be fined $200 for every minute that those cars cannot go down the track. AND... if YOUR weather event causes the event to be cancelled, you will be sued for breach of contract and may loose your racing operation, house and possessions. So.... guys.... hope like hell that the weather delay happens during a pro session. :)

Oh... a side note..... NHRA has planned to schedule all events during November and December when the weather is the "best". :)

How about the US government. You bail out the banks, insurance companies and car manufactures why not pay mother natures fines to the NHRA. They are partaly liable anyway with all this anti global warming propaganda.
