Dan Mercier has got a combination to get down the track with damn impressive numbers. The team hurt some parts and blowing out a tire wasn't the easiest to recover from but they worked their asses off and have TWO Wally's to show for it!!!!

We are extremely thankful that DM Racing put his trust in Al to pilot the car.

What happened with the blown tire?

 

Not sure if it has anything to do with it, but McPhillips blew his rear two runs before we went. Al got a little out of the groove, came towards center line, punctured the tire just after half track and still managed to go 5.41 @ 258 with one rear tire. It shredded to pieces, took out part of the rear wing and caused some other minor damage from scraping and Al scrubbing the wall to stop safely. But that was enough to keep us qualified at #4, car was fixed Saturday night and race won Sunday!! DM Racing has an amazing crew!!!!
