    Hi,
I need to install an oil heater on the dry sump tank. The heater that fits the tank best is a 6" x 12" Moroso unit. It is not adhesive.....it is designed to install with springs.

Is there a better way to attach it? Is there a high temp tape or adhesive that I can use instead of the springs?

    Thanks!

Hey Mike, make sure any tape or adhesive is not an insulater. Just a thought.

Moroso now makes there drysump tanks with a heating element built into it. It takes 45 mins. to get to 100 degrees. works way better than the heating pads.

High temp clear adhesive silicone. They sell those orange heating pads at bearing stores for a fraction of the cost of the ones moroso puts there name on.

May be a dumb question here but why would bearing stores sell these? To warm up bearings?

Maybe its because I'm in Alaska. My uncle payed 70.00 for a oil pan heater at schucks and I went to AK Bearing for a seal or something and they were on the wall for $ 20.00, wolverine makes them.
