Psi d screw

    I found one called the #'s in and its was the 4th one made. I know its old. Ive heard something about rotor/screw issues but not sure if it was this series. Whats it worth ? Its not certed but I don't need it to be. Any input would be great !! Thanks Craig

    I could be wrong, but I think the first ones were cast rotors? I only heard of rotor failure when a driveline component broke and oversped the motor-no rev limiters.

    I wonder how hard you could drive the cast rotors ??

    D rotor

    As long as its a D model, it's not one of the original A's built back in the late '80s. The original A's were cast rotors and had the problems.

    The newer model blowers have better clearances and make more boost than those originals.

    Keep in mind there's a reason for the cert, it's not pretty when one comes apart. Even at a modest overdrive, the rotors will still probably be going 15,000 rpm or so.

    I definitely wouldn't run it without a bag. I'm sure if a certs not needed to run your deal, neither is a bag....

    We do have to run a certed bag just not the certed bower. Whats one of these worth with the fuel system hat, bag,snout ,manifold adapter ??

    that's going to depend on how much overdrive and rpm you plan on spinning everything. But you will see anywhere between 350 to 500 horsepower gain due to the resistance that the roots blower causes.
