Before next spring I have to buy a 1471 high helix for a blown alcahol motor.
I am going to buy new and can't make up my mind. I have no over drive limit to meet.
Leaving the price out of it what is everyones opinion?
    SSI F3
    DMPE M4
    Kobelco K11
    PSI
    Littlefield LB20

I would like any and all opinions, Thanks

I was exactly where you were a few months back and could not decide for the life of me so I bought a PSI-C screw instead. Not much help I know but I did not have any limitations to hold me back. Besides the price tag, I could not find any comparisons that made me think twice. Good luck.

Well I have seen both a M5 and a CFH perform and the M5 produces more boost at the same OD. I know what the temps are of the air charge on the M5 but not on the CFH. I have a car with a PSI HH on it right now but am not impressed so far and by the looks of how few are out there nobody else is either. For the money I think I would take a M4 this way I would not have to pay to send the blower to Davenports to get it modified because it already is. Plus on the M4 you can change the size of the top opening if you decide to change the OD.

There were some initial problems with the M5 but they have all been cleared up.

Do you ever talk to sean at acceleration enterprises?
its horses for courses realy, everyone has personal preferance,
the davenport deal also has a changable top plate But, it is way more expensive than the M4 for the full package,
    very comparable to the M5

The chf cased blower i have is a lot better than the others i mentioned and has seen a genuine 45 psi on a dyno run back to back against davenports very best stuff and thats the stuff that us mere mortals cant buy, The secret stuff was way better for sure but we cant have it (as someone else paid for all the r&d and dyno time and that is fair)
but it was up there put it this way my k11 makes a genuine cool 42 psi at 9000 and sean told me to take it off and put the cfh cased blower on,

I think the psi HH is good at higher od it just dont like 20% I have one with full ERD mods
it just isnt a kobelco. It is a proven 6.0 blower in a legal pm set up though depends where your goals lie
Rob Atchinson won a couple of world champioship titles with one at high od,
nothing to compare it with now as there is no ihra tafc

as Mike says an M4 is probably the most bang for your buck, but its not the best,
    after that its your choice

if your after a high end HH and have no limitations I wouldnt waste my time id get a screw in a heartbeat the price wont be much different and there way cheaper than billet hh blowers

My psi at 34 over made 40 psi at 113 deg in 90 deg weather at 9000 rpms with the ERD plate on an otherwise stock blower. I love it, have had it for three years and it's never been freshened up. It does weigh 120 lbs though, with a 6 in snout.

I've never had a PSI, but I was going to say the same things for our SSI's, the strips last a long, long time.

    SSI Blowers

Had a chance to go up to SSI's new blower shop. Liked what I saw and I have been a cnc programer for Rolls-Royce for 20+ years. My choice is simple now. Oh and I have been to the other brands also.
