I ran all 4 ball check's set at 7 lbs on my PSI with 80's in my TAD with a clutch. for the idle,But the I ran 16 port nozzles ,too. With my automatic do you think I should run the same or split with 2 straight and 2 with the check's. since it has a load on it when in gear? Then if I need put some dribblers in any port that needs a little help. And then mess with the BV a flat or two either way? What do you think Mr. Canter? Thanks Don

so you had all four nozzles in the hat with 7 psi checks? The norm now days seems to do away with the front set of nozzles in the case and install a set in the rear of the hat with 30ish lbs checks in the nozzle body.

Run 2 in the case and put another 1 or 2 in the hat area if possible. The 2 in the case should be just off the idle poppet and the other 1 or 2 should be in the 25-30 lb check range. Thats my preference.

    port nozzels/ case nozzels

I haven't run a PSI screw since I stopped running TAD about 6 years ago. Couldn't keep up with the A-Fuel cars with the budget I had. But to answer a few reply's, I have a C/F mailbox injector so I really don't think or want to put nozzles in the back of the injector. Also I never ran a check valve for the idle checks. That was the reason for the 7 lb nozzles. It was really set-up the way Drasey wanted. I do know things change, that is the reason for the questions. I am going to run the Funny car overdrive. In the 90's But I am up to anyone's idea's who run the screw with a auto. Trying to get some ideas so I can go in the correct direction. I am not trying to get a free tune-up.

How would I install nozzles in the back of the injector? The C/F is not that thick also I would need to see some picks of how you guy set your up. my e-mail is donimus333@yahoo.com Thank you Jason & Brandon

You could always install a spacer. Most of the ones that I have seen are the billet injectors with the holes already built in. Just out of curiosity, what size nozzles do you have in the hat and how much OD do you plan on running? There are different tuneups for different engines/OD combos in the back of the PSI manual.

    nozzels

None in the hat, just the four in the front of the case. ran 80's with 7 lb check balls. Just like Norm told me. then the 70's in the ports. if I remember right. Some where between 92 and 95 percent. Legal funnycar overdrive. No more than 98 The injector is the small front discharge with the Taylor block off plate on top of the restraint plate. Hope that helps. I will get my guy to machine a spacer for me. I guess somewhere between 1 + 2 in. It is a JBR mail box style injector. Don

The four nozzles in the case is what I refer to as 'hat nozzles'. I guess that I should be more clear since we are talking about actually installing some in the hat. I can send you some pictures tomorrow afternoon if you like. When you say the four in the front, do you have the case with provisions for 6, three per side? Do you still have your old tune up? Planning on using the type K?
