definitely interested in hearing what people are liking and disliking. i've got the older style simpsons and while they are well made they definitely lack in dexterity. would really like to find a new pair to purchase and see if maybe santa claus (or obama) can get me a pair

who carries the ringer's glove AND has them in stock?

I wore the Ringer CarbonX NitroX -20 gloves from Feb '08 until Sept '09. They were very comfortable and flexible. The leather in the palm and finger area held up great. However, after about a year the CabonX material around my fingers started wearing away. At Indy '09 I noticed that I had worn a hole through the CarbonX on the side of one of my fingers. I ended up buying a pair of Simpson -20's at the track (I could not find anyone selling or representing Ringer). The Simpson gloves were indeed very stiff and inflexible out of the box. One of my crew guys took them and wadded, rolled and kneaded the Simpson gloves for about 3 hrs! They softened up and are still working well to this day with no evidence of external wear. I made ~110 runs using the Ringers. I have made ~90 runs using the Simpsons. Also, I paid $150 for the Simpsons in '09. The Ringers list on their website for $225 (I received mine as a gift).

    My take:
The Ringer is a better glove out of the box but will need to be replaced more frequently.

    Ringers

x2 what Chris said. I think you pick up enough feel with the Ringers gloves to justify the extra expense and having to replace them. Remember Chris is a dragster driver and he doesn't have to do much in the car besides jump out and look pretty for the camera after a run. :)
