I just use Pam. Yes the cooking spray. Even lubes the throttle blades.

Spray pam on the inside of your Valve Covers, Oil Pan, Under the Intake, Inside your Rims (brake dust) Inside your Bellhousing (clutch dust) On Headers
    Everything just wipes clean.
Harmless to Paint O-Rings People Pets and O2 sensors.
Cleans up with soap and water or Windex.
Saves brake parts cleaner and solvent at the track and shop.

Works great is cheep and easy to get and helps in the Kitchen or on the BBQ too.

Never tried any of the fancy new flavored types always just use the Origional

Also keeps rubber from sticking to the car from burnouts.

ice will form in the openings around the injector blades and can actually choke the motor out.

Yeah, I under stand that part but why do some have issues while others dont? What weather do you run into at or is it an OD thing?

has more to do with air speed entering the hat and the venturi effect around the inlet surfaces more than it does with atmosphere/air conditions. obviously the higher the humidity the more potential for making ice... but air speed and pressure drop are the critical factors. guys that are just making a little boost with a mediocre blower don't lower the air pressure drastically enough as it enters the hat opening to cause a significant enough pressure (and therefore temp) drop to cause ice formation. as pressure decreases... so does temperature and the more rapidly you decrease pressure the more the cooling effect happens.

think of it like what happens to a CO2/SCBA/N2O bottle when pressure is released from it. if you release it slowly... the bottle cools. if you just twist the valve and let it 'blow off' it will almost instantly frost over the valve and bottle

so who do you see swinging the big blowers... tafc w/screw blowers, promods w/supermans spinning at 14k rotor speeds and efficient inlet mods

wore out blowers or soft set ups don't tend to frost the blades

funny thing is i have a decent pro mod motor in fact about as good as it gets, good blower, cfh billet with my cbd 3 hole hat (the same hat 90% of pro mods use) i get bad icing,
when i use the JBR 4 hole on identical set up i get zero icing,

    what does this tell you?

it's kinda like the contrails on tf dragster wings... not all of them produce them at comparable mph/weather conditions. each wing design has different traits/characteristics
