Was wondering if anybody can confirm weather a older breaker points style supermag could be converted to use the newer style rotor shutter wheel and associated electronic control box and howmuch this would cost or if anybody would know anything about these mags.If not i will speak to spud miller...

Sorry i should have put a bit more info...
The newer supermags have seem to come out with a Breakerless option..
this uses a Shutter wheel and a infra red light sensor that reads the gaps in the wheel and some sort of electronic box that converts the signal and tells the mag when to fire.
It wont be as good as a MSD ProMag but is supposed to be alot better than points as wont bun out and never wears out. This new Electronic box also has an adjustable limiter built into some models and can be adjusted from 3500 to 10800 rpm.No pills like Msd stuff.Im assuming timing control is not an option but are interested in how it all works as im a bit of a mad scientist and like to play with stuff....

Unfortunately you will find that the link to the Mallory catalog you posted is very old, probably from the mid 90's, and none of that stuff (the electronic Supermags) are available anymore, and that includes parts.

Check this out for more info: http://www.fuelinjectionent.com/magfaqnew.htm#mallory
