I have done a search but not much luck. any ideas to renew carbon fiber tubs? I have a set in a car i bought thats only 5 yrs old and they look terrible.

they are in excellant physical condition just looks like they did paint touch up on the cage and may be overspray on them. they feel so rough like sand paper and hardly any shine.

any ideas? how bout polish compound and a electric car buffer. hate to ruin them or make them worse, just no money to replace.

worse case you think i can wet sand and reclear?

    thanks for any help

yes you can sand and reclear them or you can wet sand them 2000grt then buff then that should take the overspray off

Be very very gentle on the sanding so you don't break through any of the carbon fiber strands.

I use WD 40 it make it shine and it could take the paint off if it is just over spray. I have used a power ball and crome polish on my hat and it looked GREAT.

dale yes you can lightly sand and buff them and bring the shine back

as for the ones that are the dull finish i use wd-40 and i have cleared those also
