Mightymouse cut to the heart of the matter; after the first suit fiasco and now this, even if the certification issue is worked out, who will want to wear this stuff? Yet many of the nitro racers seem to still swear by Impact. I have to wonder if the problem is less the equipment and more the bizarre and mercurial personality of Bill Simpson himself?

    Pissing contest

John I agree with you this a bad contest but it looks like the racers are going to pay the PRICE.I think we should wait and see. It's hard to believe after all that what went on at Impact that this could happen again.Looks as :confused:if there are people butting heads.

I see a class action lawsuit on the horizon agaisnt SFI if a perfectly good suit
is not allowed to be fixed with what ever new tag it needs
seems like ab awful lot of people out there wont lay down on this one
    dont forget about nascar included

    Impact products completely SFI decertified!

I just saw the notice issued Friday the 28th on SFI website. You can see it at:

    sfifoundation.com

It says Impact is no longer a partner of SFI 90 days from now because they were installing counterfeit SFI patches. I don't know what that means for product manufactured in that window of time. I would imagine they are still certified, but at recert time it could be a problem.

I have Impact -20 gloves and -15 shoes on order. I'll be canceling both.

You don't actually believe this do you? You are a smart guy. They seem to think they can do whatever they want to whomever they want whenever they want. Now after making inferior products and getting busted for it they bogart other people's brands and products and you are fine with that??

They need to go away for the good of the community.

These companies should post a bond, so when things like this happen the racers are protected.

i don't think Impact will be able to survive this one. no SFI, no business.

they went over the line on this one.

you guys better get your Impact stuff up on ebay quickly before the rest of the world finds out.

Thanks Randy for the compliment, I think
But if this equipment was bad they had better stop us from using today not month from now, this tells me it is still safe to use, this would be far worse, don't you agree?
I saw quite a few impact suits at VMax today still being used
What I am saying I don’t believe you can't in one day say everything made is bad
This will be my second or third time with this myself using Bills stuff.
Everyone has a reason for which suit they buy
I myself wore Deist suit for years, more than I can or care to remember
wanted something lighter and more comfortable
At the time you remember the Simpson send 20 get a 15
Now for most that know me a run a car with no sponsor with a budget that would make most cringe.
So to have to buy a new suit right away was something I could not afford.
Fast forward to today I now face yet another 3 grand for something that will take away from the all ready stressed budget, force me to either push parts farther than I want or leave it sit in the shop. So you believe I should be punished for choosing a maker 2 hours from home and have to spend another 3 grand. Do I think this could result in a class action you bet I do, will I do it no. Stop and think a second on how many suits overnight have made in to trash, I can not for a second think a judge will allow this, are unsafe no, are they tagged wrong, maybe, way to much money, this would be like telling all Toyota owners to take their car or truck to the scrap yard on April 27th.

I ask what you mean by bogarting other products not sure what that is about??

    John:

    "bogarting" pronounced bow-gar-ting.

    1. Taking something that doesn't belong to you, copying it and selling it with the intent to steal money from the company that actually owns the rights to it and actually created the product.

    2. Illegally copying a trademark label relied on by the consumer to classify a product as legally admissible to the sanctioning bodies which rely on the trademark label as a statement that the products with the label affixed meet or exceeds the standards set forth by said illegally copied label.

    3. Something done while smoking Mary Jane in the '60's rather than passing it to your friend. A song was made using the term.

"Lighter and more comfortable" is how this whole thing got started. They built "lighter and more comfortable suits" that we called BS on. Sure enough, the -20 suits weren't legal for TAD. And the TAD suits weren't legal for Comp.

I wouldn't wear it if I paid $10,000 for it, but that's just me. Sorry you got caught in the middle. He screwed a lot of guys, but the biggest guy he screwed was himself.

I believe Will pointed in post of the past, when the 20 suits were an issue. Stall tactics just to buy some time, and attorneys justifying there fees.

If it walks like a Duck, quacks like a Duck, well dam must be a fing Duck!
