Top Dragster weight question...

In the rule book it says supercharged big block dragsters are 1800 minimum, but doesn't say how.

Is it with driver?

Is it at the end of the run?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but all this is new to me so I gotta ask.

Good luck getting a blown T/D to weigh close to 1800 pounds - unless you weigh less the 100 pounds with all your gear - you will be lucky to be only 100 to 125 pounds over weight at 1900 to 1925. andy b.

 

Unfortunately I'm 235. So it'll weigh about 2025 with me in it. Any way you stack it I'll be heavy.

Don't feel bad. My 292 " with alot of carbon weights in a little over 2100 with a 130 # driver. I have alot of light stuff on it. But when you put 12lb. starters and 50 # of battery's it gets to be a sled. I see no reason for that on board shit, and will bitch until the day I quit. As long as the car is running by a certain point and you don,t block lanes who cares. how the car gets started. Make rules for top dragsters not follow rules for a top sportsman cars. It cost alot of money to put starters and battery's on these cars. Then carry spares I came to this class because I thought it would be fun. Thought it would be a place to go fast and not all of the Bull Shit. and still run nhra. Might as well go back to the A-Fuel stuff. and do the ihra deal. Don
