I'm trying to get APBA, to change rule o n how a boat is weighed, currently just the boat is weighed, like NHRA did it 40 years ago, trying to get them to weigh with the driver, to make it more even for fat and skinny people to compete with each other, since i started boat racing i see a lot of 80/85 lb girls competing against 150/200 lb. guys, not fair to have to spot someone 120 lbs. any one want to jump on the cause? call or e-male APBA. Thanks Gene Terenzio Sr.

What class are you running in? I raced F1 and F2 and they weighed the driver, the gear, the boat and subtracted the weight of the lifting straps. This was running with APR Superleague, HOTT, Prop, Champ and others.
The only classes I have ever been in where they did not weigh the drivers, was offshore and drag boats.

You are right. Absolutely right. It should be weighed boat and driver.
However, unless we are speaking about the kilos, it has been a long time since I saw too many boats in K, SS, or PS right at weight, or really care about it. And it has been a real long time since I have seen a race that was decided by weight. Now some of those lighter classes . . .
