I dont think your problem is with a copper headgasket, but more on
who and How they are installing them,..You have to use sealant around your
coolant and oil ports,..is this a race car ?? why are you using antifreeze,.
Have you tried ICS, or Titan self sealing cooper gaskets, maybe use a cometic head gasket.
Also you might want to re torque/check your head bolts or studs after a heat and cold cycle re check them.

This a chevy motor in a tube chassis monster truck with a water block ,9to 1 compression ,10% overdrive {our rules limit our overdrive}.Head torque has been checked. I havent heard of Ice before ? Although overheating has never been an issue we run up to 4 minutes sometimes. Its a nice peice ,Peterson Dry sump, enderle pump and hat,bds blower. The motor probably has an hour or two total runtime ,probably 3or four drums of alky ran through it . Noticing a little antifreeze arround block to head surface and quite a bit in the oil.Could be an intake gasket ? Hopefully get to tear top end down and pull heads this weekend .Self sealing head gaskets are something I will check out thanks for your help!

I am currently using the SCE Copper Head Gaskets called ICS Titan. I recommend them because I have not had any problems with them. I am running a SBC, blown, injected alcohol, non o-ringed heads. I have only had one instance of a problem using this gasket and it really wasn't the gaskets fault. We had a "huge" backfire through the blower and ended up having water spewing out the headers. $hit happens, but I don't blame the gasket. Even though it is "self sealing", we put gasket sealer around it anyway.

Back when I ran a water block I use to put a little Halomar on both sides of the headgaskets around the water passages and I never had a leak.

I use SCE gaskets, they have been good to me. They will do special orders too, at reasonable cost, I had a few sets of the ICS titans made with no water holes or sealant, they were cheaper than an shelf gasket.

When I ran water and copper head gaskets, I always used Copper Coat to seal the gasket and orange Hi-Temp RTV around the water holes. Never ever had a problem doing this way.

I still use Copper Coat nowadays with a dry motor to seal and spot any combustion leakage.
