    Interesting?

The things I got out of this and a couple of questions:

It looks like one last grab at the floatation device.

There is still no mention of TAD or TAFC, although they did say it's different at every race.

What will the fans think when the Pro Fuel guys run better than the Top Fuel guys at a lot of events? In Edmonton, we had an A\Fuel car run ETs competitive with over half of the Top Fuel cars.

Are they going to pay enough to get enough cars in the Pro classes? What if there is only 2-3 Top Fuel and the same number of Pro Fuel?

What exactly is an appropriate price for 3 hours of drag racing? That's what I love about drag racing. I throw a couple of $20 bills at the admission booth and I get a WHOLE DAY worth of entertainment, unlike a hockey game where you have to drop at least $100 to get a couple of hours.

How do they decide which cars run each other if it's the quickest two winners in the second round? Is it just a random drawing of names? I definately think an IHRA event can be run in two days, but without qualifying, it's a little unfair. Unless everyone is just getting paid the same and they are just keeping that on the down low.

I don't know what else I was going to say. I've got a feeling of disappointment. The first year of the Rocky Mountain Nationals, I was very excited. It was one of the coolest events I've seen come to this city. I think there was 12 or 13 Fuel cars running for an 8 car field. There were 16 car fields of Pro Stock, Pro Mod and TAFC. And the cars ran well! Last year showed some promise with Edmonton having an 8 car TAFC field again and it was fast. The Top Fuel field was disappointing. They had enough cars but the quality had gone. This looks like another step deeper into the pool they've created and I think the IHRA floatation device is running out of air.

For all of those AHRA guys reading this, maybe this should be your kick in the pants. There seems to be a vacancy that needs to be filled.

    I-side

The writing has been on the wall this was going to happen for a while. Feld buying them out just about sealed their fate.

At least the Pro Stock guys went ADRL before the bottom dropped out on them.

The answer to your question Jim is no Aaron Polburn doesn't have a clue. That stupid ass is so far removed from reality that it is crazy. At least the clown show announced it that they were going goofy. Maybe he can wear a ringleaders hat and they can have Elephant rides during the oil downs. I am still waiting for IHRA to post a formal announcement that they drop Funny Carrs. I can't imagine anybody that is a racing purest going to watch 4 Fuel Cars and a couple Jet Cars and the Cool Bus. I don't what reasearch they did to come up with the answers they got. I wonder how many guys will even want to run with them because they lie so much you don't even know what to believe any more. I feel sorry for all the track owners that have invested a fortune and signed contracts with these dick heads. I already stated that Feld bought IHRA so he could have 2 clowns in Polburn and Peaco. I bet the guys that have invested time and money to run Top Fuel are going be happy as hell they aren't the "invited 4" .

most fields will be 8 car shows.
Alky Funny Cars will still be at Edmonton from what I understand Nathan.
I have no idea what other tracks are going to have, but the biggest crowd in the IHRA ( Edmonton event), will have as good of a show as they have had in the past, even if the teams (the regular part of the IHRA show) are basically match racing.
There will be at least three classes (edmonton's own classses) that they bring in (apart from the TF, Pro Fuel and Nostalgia Funny car class) that will run regular eliminations and will qualify. thaey will also run as a three day race.

Alky Dennis, my honest opinion about nostalgia funny cars is they will be brought in from the area geographically. The Alberta race for example will see cars from that area, and they will follow rules in place already.

Only Pro Fuel and Top Fuel will see the same cars at each race as the nostalgia funny cars are not really high budget that want to travel very far. (only my guess but it seems reasonable)
