Hi, I am wondering if anyone has done any dyno work with injector hats and if so which is the best for producing power. I am considering a Faulk or a Knut but I know JRB and DMPE both make great products just a bit more expensive. I can get the Faulk really cheap. I have a 14-71 littlefield HH retro w/ k-8 rotors coming on a 526 BAE fathead hemi. Will be running all out TAFC at about 49-51% o.d. Waterman .750 pump.

    Thanks guys

I probably mentioned this to ya before, but a couple years ago on Mandolinis dyno we took of a 4-hole JBR and bolted on one of Darrens new (at the time) 3-holes on and picked up over 100hp! Everyone of us there "looked" at each other with jaws dropped, you could actually "hear" the difference in the motor!

I am partial to the DMPE hats. They cost more but you get what you pay for. It is called horsebucks. If you go cheap and lose 100 hp and you can't keep up then all is wasted and it is no fun. What ever hat you get make sure it matches the hole in the top of the blower. You can get a custom DMPE spacer to match the hat to the blower which can give you up to a 150hp if the mismatch was bad

don't take this the wrong way, but where do you plan on running "all out tafc" with a roots?

    Thanks guys

Thanks for the info so far guys,

I knew someone was going to say it Bruce...lol

I know you need a screw to run well in NHRA but we are setting the car up for match racing and open outlaw gigs for the sake of seat time at present however I would like to run a Division 2 event once or twice and not be too ashamed. I do know that if I can keep the car in the 5.80's consistently I can do o.k. with maybe a high 70 once in a while. Who knows maybe I'll go a round or two...After all Dale Brand (IHRA's Frank Manzo a.k.a. TAFC god) rolled the car off the trailer and dropped a 5.60 something bomb on everyone in IHRA trim.

Reasons behind all this is I have a PSI screw hat coming with the blower and an adapter and I don't think it will flow well at all and although I could have a super trick riser/adapter made I think I would be better off just getting the right hat to begin with.

Anyone tried DMPE's new MK 5 or 7 X LT deals? success?

    Thanks again,
    Trevor Sherwood
