On a solid head and block is there any Plus or Minus of using any type of sealant on the gasket. Puting in 50psi of boost.

    Thanks

Use a little silicone sealant around the holes if there is oil pressure coming up to feed the rockers, and around the holes for the top end drainback, use only a thin layer, as too much could ooze in and clog the holes.

i use a very thin coat of silicone around the oil feed holes on the deck, and we like to use Copperkote spray on both sides of the gasket. it's made by Permatex, and it really seals well. hope this helps

Way back when [ telling my age here] when no copperkote was around we would spray a thin coat of aluminum paint on both sides to seal with. Aluminum not just silver. Reminds me of the time the pet pig ran off with a new set of rings it took hours but found them all and none broken.

What are you concerned about the oil,or the combustion pressure?

I feel that if the combustion pressure gets past your "O" ring seal around the bore, then nothing is going to help you.

    Gasket Sealant

I agree with MRK-588 if you have no water then a dry gasket will work. The only reason, in my opinion, you would put any sealant on is for water/oil. The o-rings will not benifit from having any aditional sealant put on them.
