    22 LBS.

star pattern, but I will also go around the wheel and it can take 3 times to get all the bolts to torque

    X2,

I run em in with an extension in a battery powered drill till they just touch, then star to snug then I go in an alternating star. I use a low dollar Dewalt and its good for about 20 inch pounds per click of the clutch so I just keep going up 2 clicks in an alternating star (circling after every sequence to make sure I did not miss any) It takes about 5 cycles to get to 14 footlbs or so then I use a torque wrench(the ones I did the final torque was 18 ft lbs)

Its my feeling that the early part of the torqueing where the tire is being compressed by the ring needs to be done in a lot of steps to minimize distortion of the ring and the drill allows it to be done really fast to ensure I do not get bored and take any shortcuts

I have been using American Racing wheels since they started. You can either adjust in a star pattern or go around just make sure not to miss any. The torque on these are 25ftlbs. We usenever sieze on threads and have to go around a few times and check every other race.

weld and american just sent me proper bead-loc assembly instructions.
-they say to just start the bolts in a 12.6.3.9 order but anything after that should be one next to the other in a circle all the way around. use anti seeze. and no more than two or three ratchet turns at a time all the way around and finish at 18 ft/lbs.
-i called weld.american.800-788-9353 for this info.
    - they say any other way will potato chip warp the rings and lose clamping grip.

Yep, that's what it says on their website too. Works great. There is a PDF download on the site that has the instructions.
