I'm sure this has been covered before but what is the best thing to use to keep the helmet visor from fogging up? I don't have an air system.

I wish I could slow down my breathing rate before a run but it seems to go up just as my heart rate does. :)

i use dawn dish soap. put a dime sized amount on the inside of your shield and rub it in completely. take another towel and buff it clean, usually lasts through one nights racing.

Go to your local sporting goods store and buy some anti fog for hockey visors, works great for us and you can keep the bottle in your suit bag, reasonable at $3 to $5 dollars. Hope this helps

go to good vibrations online and/or call them and order the fog city deal. they work great they always work they don't require retreatment... all other solutions are temporary and minimally effective at best. the fog city deal is about $20. cheap when you consider what vision it worth on the track

ps... if your visor has a nose cut out/notch like a bandit OR impact nitro then order the 'bandit version' as they fit an impact nitro helmet perfectly.

Thanks for everybody's input. I'll be dammed, but this Dawn thing worked great this last weekend. Everyone that saw it work was impressed as well as me. Thank you very much for a cheap and quick fix. It helped me make the finals two days in a row.

I learned the Dish Soap thing years ago diving in the Caribbean. You can spend $$ on "bottled" anti-fog". Then an old timer says "Want to try some of my "secret" home-made anti-fog in your mask?" Worked as good as anything then at the end of the day he tells me what it was and I was floored!
