the two lobe blower.

    Any one know any thing about Don Hampton's two lobe blower?, is it reliable, I only have two guys opinion, one says it's great the other said its no good, and I don't know if I can trust either one of them, (yet)talking about a 8/71, I was told it puts out as much air as a striped 12/71? the guy i tune for is ordering one on Mon. any info would be appreciated

    The list price is $5,500. the reason I like it is because theres no teflon strips,so theres less heat pumped into the motor. plu's it's lighter, just not sure it lasts. Gene

    Don made a two lobe blower many years ago. It did not catch on then, so I guess I would ask what is different with the new one now?

    I said the same thing,It was explained to me that the old one had straight rotors the new one has twisted rotors. you must be old to remember :p

    The two lobe straight rotor deal suffered from extreme pulsation in the manifold. I'd hope a little twist would help.

    I was told it's 60 Deg. twist, so thats it, gess it's live and learn I hope it works, cuz I have different planes for it. you guys know, ( OUTSIDE THE BOX ) :D;)
