Anybody tried to recycle their oil (Evaporate Methanol) with one of these 55 Gallon Drum heaters like the ones on lube-store.com?

I think it would work. Not because I have any experience with what you want to do, but I worked in an FAA Repair Station and thats how we got rid of our flourescent penetrate rinse water. 2 drums with band heaters that stayed plugged in and just evaporated the water. I'd say alcohol would cook off just as easy if not quicker. I just think you could'nt be in a hurry as it will take time to get the oil up to temp.

check mcmaster-carr they carry drum heaters and are great to deal with

The biodiesel was ok but takes more time than I had to devote to it. I did more blending than anything else. Thats just mixing the raw oil in with the fuel. My truck loved it at 12.5 percent oil or more. I blended until the temps got down around 50 then it was harder to start. Thats when I start making bio. The truck didnt seem to "like" the bio as much as straight oil. My oil supplier went bankrupt so my supply is small now. Im thinking about putting on another tank to run a 2 tank system. I learned a lot here...http://biodiesel.infopop.cc/eve/ubb.x

    Good luck.

I need to add that my truck is an over the road semi tractor with a mechanical Cat 3406.

I blended in my Dodge pickup also but plugged the intank screen.
