    Gentlemen,

I have a Carrol Shelby 427 Ford block that needs repair. Piston came off the pin. It's got a wannabe window on one side (star crack), and an "outie" on the other. The bottom of one sleeve is messed up pretty bad too. Its a cast aluminum unit with dry sleeves. I have seen you guys talk about block repair, but I assume that most of these guys expect hemi/chevy. Do any of the block repair guys do non-typical blocks like this?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

there is a guy here in Brownsburg that most all the top fuel teams use. he isnt on the web but I can get you his number if you'd like. Ive watched him do K Bernstein's and Snakes blocks and some were windowed pretty badly.

I dont think he cares what brand it is. He could weld dirt together. he is an Old Ford racer though for what its worth.

    he isnt high dollar either.

    << Ford guy too lol

Not sure if we're talking about the same shop..but ARC Racing Engines in Brownsburg welded a block for me. They do lots of fuel and alky blocks. Nice part is Al has top notch machine equipment to straighten it all out after words.
    317-858-1240 ...ask for Al

Thank you so much for your responses. I have chosen to send my block to Al at ARC. I spoke with him on the phone and he definitely knows his stuff.
